| Reverse description | The central field features the stylized emblem of the Non-Aligned Movement, rendered as a bold spiral composed of two interlocking crescent-like arcs encircling a granulated globe, evoking unity and international solidarity. To the right of the emblem, the word CUMBRE appears in the upper portion of the field, with the date 1979 directly below it, accompanied by an engraver's mint mark. The legend LA HABANA curves along the upper rim, while NO ALINEADOS runs along the lower-right periphery, both rendered in broad, even lettering characteristic of commemorative coinage of the period. |

| Additional information |
Cuba hosted the Sixth Summit Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement in Havana in September 1979, a significant diplomatic coup for Castro that positioned Cuba — and by extension the Soviet bloc — at the center of a movement theoretically independent of both superpowers. The summit drew 95 member states. Castro assumed the chairmanship of the movement for the following three years, a role he used aggressively to push anti-imperialist resolutions that many genuine non-aligned members found uncomfortably aligned with Moscow.
Two die varieties are documented under the JMA references AAEE014 and AAEE015.
