| Obverse description | The silver centre features the Mexican national arms in high relief: an eagle displayed facing left, perched upon a nopal cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, grasping a serpent in its beak and right talon. The design is rendered in fine detail with carefully engraved feathering on the wings. An oak branch and a laurel branch frame the base of the device within the silver field. The aluminium bronze outer ring bears the national legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS along the upper arc, with the two flanking branches continuing onto the ring at the lower portion. |
