| Obverse description | Central bimetallic field features the Mexican national arms in high relief: an eagle displayed standing left on a cactus, devouring a serpent, rendered in the gold-coloured inner disc. The eagle is surrounded by an ornamental wreath of oak and laurel branches tied with a ribbon at the base. The circular legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS runs along the upper periphery of the silver outer ring in raised Latin letters.
