Obverse description The left portion of the note is dominated by an intaglio oval vignette of Lady Hazel Lavery, portrayed seated with a traditional Irish harp at her side, a landscape of hills and water visible behind her. Bilingual text in English and Irish heads the note, with the issuing authority title spanning the full upper border, flanked by Celtic knotwork ornamental devices at the corners. The denomination '£100' appears in an elaborate guilloche cartouche at lower centre, with two facsimile signature lines and serial numbers printed in red at upper right and lower left.
