The Battle of Grengam in July 1720 was the last major naval engagement of the Great Northern War, fought in the shallow waters of the Finnish archipelago where Russian galleys trapped and captured four Swedish frigates. The victory effectively ended Sweden's long dominance in the Baltic and secured Peter the Great's territorial gains just weeks before peace negotiations concluded at Nystad.
Suwarrow Atoll, a Cook Islands dependency with no permanent population, lends its name to this issue purely as a licensing arrangement.
