Obverse description Printed in shades of purple and mauve on a light guilloche underprint, the obverse bears the denomination numeral '100' at upper left and right within ornate cartouches, with the bank title in Arabic script across the top. A large ornamental vignette at right depicts an elaborate Iranian architectural crown or finial motif in intaglio, flanked by floral and arabesque border elements.
