| Reverse description | Central vignette of Darwin's Arch, the celebrated natural rock formation situated southeast of Darwin Island in the Galápagos archipelago, rendered against a scenic background. A portrait of the naturalist Charles Darwin (1809–1882) appears to one side, with the denomination 100 SUCRES and a collector's disclaimer legend occupying the lower register. The composition is executed in a commemorative illustrative style appropriate to a non-legal-tender collector's piece. |

The Galápagos Islands have no independent monetary authority — Ecuador dollarized in 2000 and the islands are a province, not a sovereign territory. A "100 Sucres" note dated 2025 has no legitimate issuing authority behind it; the sucre itself was retired over two decades ago. This is almost certainly a novelty or fantasy piece, produced for the souvenir trade rather than any sanctioned emission.
Catalog it accordingly. It has no place in a serious currency sequence.
