Obverse description Black intaglio on blue and brown underprint, with a vignette of the Yumedono (Hall of Dreams) of Hōryū-ji temple at left. A portrait of Prince Shōtoku occupies the right portion of the face. Japanese legends and serial numbers appear in black letterpress, with the issuer's name and convertibility clause inscribed across the note.
