| Obverse description | Olive-brown note centred on a vignette of a torii gate set within a landscaped garden with palm and conifer trees, rendered in fine intaglio. The large kanji denomination 百圓 (100 Yen) is printed in bold characters to the right of the vignette, flanked by the Bank of Taiwan title and a red seal. Guilloche borders frame the design on all sides, with the numeral 100 repeated in each corner and the serial number and block number appearing twice along the upper and lower margins. |
