Reverse description The reverse is executed in dark intaglio on a pale ground, with the large Chinese character inscription '百圓' (100 Yen) dominating the centre field. The bank name '朝鮮銀行' (Bank of Chosun) is distributed across the upper centre within two medallions, while the numeral 100 is repeated in ornate cartouches at upper left and upper right, and the character '百' appears in large form at lower left and lower right. A floral cherry blossom branch vignette occupies the left field, with arabesque scroll borders framing the entire composition and a denomination panel reading '100圓' positioned at lower centre within a decorative frame.
