| Obverse description | At right, an intaglio portrait vignette of a male worker in three-quarter view, popularly identified as the Stakhanovite miner Wincenty Pstrowski, set within an octagonal guilloche border. At upper centre, the Polish state eagle is printed above the date and place of issue reading WARSZAWA DNIA 1 LIPCA 1948 ROKU, flanked by three facsimile signatures.
