| Reverse description | Multicolour intaglio and offset print. The central vignette presents a 19th-century Yerevan street scene in grey-green tones, with a neoclassical building facade occupying the upper portion and a horse-drawn carriage with a coachman in the right foreground. A colour-shifting optically variable device (OVD) element appears at upper centre. The large numeral "1000" in red-violet is printed at lower left, with the denomination in Armenian letters beneath the central vignette. The issuer's name in Armenian runs along the top margin and in English along the right vertical border. |

Armenia's dram series printed by Enschedé has long relied on the Dutch firm's security printing expertise, and this issue reflects the gradual tightening of anti-counterfeiting specifications that Armenian notes underwent in the 2010s. The holographic strip here is a registered OVD element — not a simple foil application — integrated during manufacture rather than applied post-print, which is the more costly and technically demanding approach.
Pick 55 is the replacement for the earlier 1000 Dram issues lacking this feature, distinguished in cataloging primarily by that strip rather than any redesign.
