| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Burkina Faso occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged with a five-pointed star, supported by two rearing stallions facing inward, with crossed spears behind the shield and an open book at the base. A ribbon scroll beneath the supporters bears the national motto in three segments: 'Unité', 'Progrès', and 'Justice'. A banner inscribed 'BURKINA FASO' arches above the shield. The circular legend 'REPUBLIQUE DU BURKINA FASO' runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination '1000 FRANCS CFA' is inscribed in bold relief along the lower periphery. The entire design is rendered in antique finish with a deeply struck, matte relief. |

| Additional information |
Burkina Faso has issued commemorative silver under the CFA franc framework since the early 2000s, acting as a nominal issuer while production and distribution are handled entirely by European private mints — in this case almost certainly the Berne-based PAMP or a comparable Swiss or Austrian contractor. The country itself has no minting infrastructure. These biblical series coins were sold exclusively through international coin dealers and never circulated in West Africa.
KM#35 places this among a small cluster of Burkinabé issues from the mid-2010s targeting the collector market for religious themed silver.
