| Obverse description | Dark brown intaglio print on brown guilloche underprint. An oval vignette at right carries a bust portrait of King Saint Stephen I of Hungary, shown in royal regalia with crown and sceptre, rendered in fine engraved detail. The denomination "EZER KORONA" appears in large ornate lettering at upper centre, flanked by intricate guilloche cornerpieces bearing the numeral 1000, with the Hungarian coat of arms at top centre and the statutory legal tender text in Hungarian occupying the central field. |
