This note was printed in Moscow by Goznak under wartime arrangements between the Czechoslovak government-in-exile and the Soviet Union — an unusual production choice that reflects the political alignment Beneš was carefully cultivating with Moscow as the war moved toward its endgame. The series was prepared in advance of liberation, intended to replace the Protectorate and Slovak wartime currencies the moment territory was recovered.

Goznak's involvement left a subtle mark: the printing aesthetic differs noticeably from the pre-war series produced by Western European security printers. Paper specification and guilloche execution follow Soviet standards rather than Czech ones.
