Obverse description At right, an intaglio vignette of a woman's bust in left profile, set within an octagonal guilloche frame with fine lathe-work surround; the denomination numeral 1000 appears in the upper right and lower right corners. The left half of the note carries the payment text in Gothic blackletter script over a salmon-pink underprint, with the large denomination legend "Tausend Kronen" in bold blackletter type. A dense floral and geometric guilloche border frames the entire note.
