| Obverse description | Blue intaglio-printed state treasury bond note of the Kingdom of Bulgaria (ЦАРСТВО БЪЛГАРИЯ), dated Sofia, 15 January 1944, with maturity 15 January 1946. The central text panel bears the bond conditions in Cyrillic script, including capital of 1000 leva and interest of 60 leva at 3% over two years, totalling 1060 leva, with a red serial number printed across the centre. The Bulgarian state arms appear at right, and dense guilloche borders with repeated denomination numeral '1000' frame all four sides. |
