Obverse description The national arms of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic occupies the central field, depicting two crossed rifles overlaid by the national flag, surmounted by a crescent and star, and flanked by olive branches. A scroll at the base of the arms bears an Arabic legend. The circular legend reads REPUBLICA SAHARAUI in Latin script to the left and the Arabic equivalent to the right, with a star at the base. The denomination 1000 appears in both Latin and Arabic numerals at the lower field.
