| Additional information |
Mongolia issued a substantial series of gold miniatures in the mid-2000s commemorating Western composers and cultural figures — an unusual program for a landlocked Central Asian state, driven largely by the European collector market rather than any domestic commemorative tradition. These were produced for export, not circulation.
At 1.24 g of .999 gold, the coin corresponds to the 1/25 oz format popularized by the Austrian Mint in the 1980s, a size that proved commercially effective for low-entry-price bullion collectibles.
