Reverse description Oscan value mark rendered as the letter 'U' (or semis symbol) in low relief at the center of the plain oval flan, indicating the denomination of one-half As. The mark is crudely but clearly formed, occupying the central field without border or additional ornamentation. The reverse surface exhibits the characteristic coarse texture of a sand-cast bronze piece consistent with Umbrian aes grave production of the period circa 225–213 BC.
