Ramon Despuig served as Grand Master from 1736 until his death in 1741, a tenure short enough that his coinage is comparatively scarce across all denominations. The 12 Tari was the Order's principal silver denomination, its weight standard anchored to the Sicilian monetary system — a relationship that persisted through successive Grand Masters due to Malta's deep commercial ties with Sicily and Naples.
Restelli 11 is among the more straightforward varieties of this type, without the die anomalies that complicate attribution in some earlier Hospitaller silver.
