| Obverse description | At center, the official emblem of the Bank of Mongolia — a soyombo symbol surmounted by a traditional ornamental cartouche — rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, flanked on either side by the country name in traditional Mongolian vertical script. Below the emblem, the face value '1200' appears in large numerals, with 'ТӨГРӨГ' inscribed beneath. Along the lower rim, the legend 'MONGOLIA · 0.25 OZ.999 SILVER · 1997 ·' is incused in Latin characters. The coin is struck in proof finish with a serrated border. |
