| Obverse description | Laureate head of Asklepios facing right, rendered in moderate relief with characteristic beard and wreath of laurel encircling the hair. The effigy displays the idealized, mature physiognomy associated with the god of medicine, with draped shoulders faintly visible at the bust truncation. The style is consistent with Hellenistic civic coinage of Pergamon, showing confident die-cutting typical of the period. The field surrounding the portrait is plain and unadorned. |

| Reverse description | The kerykeion-like rod of Asklepios depicted upright in the center of the field, with a single serpent coiled around its shaft in sinuous loops, its head rising toward the top of the staff. The vertical legend is divided by the staff, with Greek lettering flanking the symbol on left and right, reading ΑΣΚΛΗΠΙΟΥ on one side and ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ on the other. The composition is bold and well-centered, typical of late Hellenistic civic bronzes from Pergamon. The reverse type served as a direct reference to the city's renowned sanctuary of Asklepios, the Asklepion. |
