| Obverse description | Central field features a circular cartouche containing the Arabic mint and date inscription arranged in three lines, with the regnal year ١٢٨ (128) at the top, the word ضرب (Struck) in the centre, and the Hijri date ١٢٧٠ (1270) with the word سنة (Year) at the base. The cartouche is enclosed within a raised beaded inner circle and flanked by a broad ornamental wreath of olive or laurel branches tied at the base with a decorative floral knot. The entire design is contained within an outer beaded border. |
