| Obverse description | Central device features the shield of the Estado Soberano de Boyacá, a pointed heraldic escutcheon divided into horizontal bands depicting the regional arms, including a condor and floral elements in the upper portion and navigational or civic emblems below. The circumferential legend REPUBLICA DE COLOMBIA curves along the upper border in raised Latin characters, while the date 1890 appears in the lower field beneath the shield. The coin's milled border is framed by an inner beaded ring. The overall design is executed in low relief in a plain, utilitarian style consistent with a provincial pattern issue. |
