| Reverse description | Essentially plain bronze field displaying, at centre, a small incuse rectangular cartouche containing the heraldic emblem of the Tower of London — the Royal Mint's identifying mark — depicted as a stylised castle with two flanking towers each surmounted by a cross, and a crenellated central battlemented section. The remainder of the field is entirely unadorned, with no legend or additional devices. A raised rim encloses the composition. This mint mark serves to authenticate the pattern as a Royal Mint production. |
