Reverse description The reverse is engraved in deep blue intaglio on white paper. A central allegorical vignette presents a classical female figure standing atop a globe and holding a caduceus, set against a background of a harbour with ships and a railway bridge, evoking Canada's commerce and industry. Large ornate '2' counters occupy the left and right margins within intricate guilloche rosettes, and the denomination 'DEUX DOLLARS' is lettered across the bottom in bold serif type. The bank name 'BANQUE DU CANADA' appears at the top centre flanked by the numeral '2' and the word 'DEUX' at the corners.
