| Obverse description | The obverse displays the Fijian coat of arms at center, featuring a quartered shield supported by two indigenous Fijian warriors, one holding a spear, the other a war club, both rendered in high relief against the antique-finished field. The national motto legend 'Rerevaka na Kalou ka doka na Tui' (Fear God and honour the King/Queen) appears on a scroll beneath the shield. The country name 'FIJI' and date '2021' are inscribed in an arc along the upper portion of the field, while '5 TROY OZ' and '999 SILVER' flank the arms vertically on the left and right respectively. The denomination '2 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower field. The irregular, rocky edge of the flan evokes the appearance of an ancient stone or terracotta artifact. |
