| Obverse description | Central Jerusalem cross with four arms of equal length dividing the field into quarters, each quarter bearing alternating lions passant guardant and castles, emblems of the kingdoms of León and Castile respectively. The design is executed in the crude, irregular style characteristic of cob (macuquina) coinage struck by hand, with the cross dominating the flan. A partial legend in Latin referencing the royal titulature of Carlos II appears along the periphery, though incompletely struck as typical of this series. |
