(Translation: Carlos III By the Grace of God King of Spain and the Indies)
Reverse description The crowned quartered arms of Castile and León occupy the central field, displaying alternating castles and lions in the four quarters with a central escutcheon bearing the arms of the Bourbon dynasty. A large ornate crown surmounts the shield, its detailed fleurons rendered in high relief. The mint mark NR (Nuevo Reino) and the assayer's initials JV appear in the lower field flanking a small rosette. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads IN UTROQ FELIX AUSPICE DEO, disposed around the outer periphery within the milled border.
