Reverse description The crowned quartered arms of Spain at centre, displaying the castles of Castile and the lions of León in alternating quarters, with the Granada pomegranate at the base and the Bourbon fleur-de-lis in the centre point of the shield, all enclosed within an ornate cartouche. The denomination numeral '2' appears to the left of the shield and the 'S' (escudos) to the right. The circular Latin legend reads •Mo•IN•UTROQ•FELIX••AUSPICE•DEO• with the assayer initials below the shield, and the whole design is framed by a toothed border.
