Reverse description The quartered royal arms of Spain occupy the central field, displaying the castles of Castile and the lions of León in the principal quarters, with the lilies of the House of Bourbon in the inescutcheon, the whole surmounted by the royal crown of Spain. The denomination numeral 2 appears to the left of the shield and the Santiago mint mark So to the right, with the assayer initials DA below. The surrounding legend IN UTROQ FELIX AUSPICE DEO runs along the border, expressing divine favor over both hemispheres. A fine reeded border encloses the design.
