| Obverse description | Right-facing portrait bust of Prince Honoré V occupies the inner disc, rendered in high relief with careful attention to period costume detail. The legend 'HONORÉ V' appears to the left of the effigy and 'MONACO' to the right, both in upright Latin capitals. A commemorative inscription 'HONORE V 1819 — Avènement — 2019' arcs in a semicircle along the lower portion of the inner disc, marking the bicentennial of his accession. The outer ring carries the twelve five-pointed stars of the European Union arranged in a full circle. |
