| Obverse description | The inner disc features a detail from Titian's allegorical painting Allegory of Wisdom, preserved at the Marciana National Library in Venice, rendered in finely engraved relief. The inscription TIZIANO appears on the left of the central design, accompanied by SAN MARINO, while the Mint of Rome mark R is positioned to the right. The engraver's initials SC for Silvia Ciucci appear at the bottom centre, and the commemorative dates 1576 and 2026 are inscribed to the right, referencing the year of Titian's death and the year of issue. Twelve raised stars of the European Union encircle the design within the outer ring. |
