| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Marianne, the allegorical personification of the French Republic, wearing a winged helmet with flowing hair. In the lower field behind the bust, a stylized maritime scene featuring sailing ships is depicted in low relief. The engraver's signature L.BAZOR appears at lower left and the initials GB at lower right.
