| Obverse description | Bare-headed, bearded effigy of King Leopold II facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and beard. The portrait, engraved by Léopold Wiener whose name appears in small capitals at the base of the neck truncation, occupies the majority of the field. The circumferential legend runs along the inner border of the dentilated rim, reading from lower left to upper right and continuing to lower right. |
