| Obverse description | Blue letterpress on a light-red underprint carrying a pale ghost impression of the issuer's name. The note is framed by a decorative blue border with geometric and floral motifs, including a grape-and-circle frieze on the lateral margins. The denomination '2 Fr.' and 'Fr. 2' appear in the upper corners flanking the issuer's title 'SUCRERIE D'ANVAING', with the value 'BON DE GUERRE DE DEUX FRANCS' in bold capitals at centre. A serial number, a redemption clause, the place and date '1er octobre 1914', and two manuscript authorisation signatures appear in the lower portion. |
