Obverse description Central device consists of the Greek royal coat of arms: a quartered shield bearing a bold Greek cross, the quarters filled with horizontal lines, set upon a pointed cartouche shield form. The shield is surmounted by a large royal crown with arched bands, orb, and cross finial. The circular legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ (Kingdom of Greece) runs along the upper periphery in Greek majuscules, with the field left plain around the central device.

Reverse description The denomination numeral 2 appears at the top center of the field, followed below by the Greek legend ΛΕΠΤΑ, and the four-digit date centered beneath, all enclosed within a finely detailed wreath of laurel or olive branches tied at the base, with leafy sprays extending symmetrically on both sides to fill the coin's field. The field within the wreath is plain, giving a clean, uncluttered presentation to the inscriptions.
