| Obverse description | The obverse features three stacked inscriptions in the three official languages of Mandatory Palestine, centered within a plain field. At the top appears the Arabic legend 'فلسطين' in flowing script, beneath which the Latin legend 'PALESTINE' is prominently rendered in bold serif capitals. Below that appears the Hebrew legend 'פלשתינה (א״י)', denoting 'Palestine (Eretz Israel)'. The date is displayed in the lower field in both Western Arabic numerals (1945) and Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals (١٩٤٥), separated by a small space. The entire design is enclosed by a beaded inner border running parallel to the coin's milled rim. |
