Denmark's small bronze coinage of this period continued largely uninterrupted through the German occupation beginning in April 1940, which marks the hard cutoff for this type. The occupying authorities initially left Danish internal administration intact, and the mint in Copenhagen kept operating — but the pre-occupation dies were retired, making 1940 the last year of this specific configuration before wartime adjustments took hold.
