Obverse description Central device depicts a Garuda bird in profile facing left, shown in a dynamic standing pose with wings spread and talons prominent, rendered in the traditional Khmer artistic style. The mythical creature is shown without an encircling border, occupying the full field of the coin. A beaded or rope-like border runs along the coin's rim. The design is struck in low relief characteristic of Cambodian coinage of the period.

Reverse description The reverse bears a three-line inscription in Khmer script arranged horizontally across the central field, surrounded by a beaded rim. The characters are rendered in the traditional Khmer writing style consistent with mid-to-late 19th century Cambodian royal coinage. The legend denotes the denomination and royal authority under King Norodom I. The inscription occupies the majority of the flan with minimal field visible around the lettering.
