Reverse description A large Tudor rose rendered in bold relief occupies the center of the field, with five rounded petals surrounding a seed-dotted center and five pointed sepals visible between the petals. Directly above the rose sits a royal crown with fleurs-de-lis and cross pattée finial, its arches jeweled and detailed. The upper circular legend ROSA·AMERICANA·1723 arcs around the crown and rose, while the motto UTILE·DULCI appears within a curved ribbon banner at the lower portion of the field. The border is composed of uniform beading consistent with the obverse.
