| Obverse description | Emergency wartime issue on plain paper with a fine guilloche underprint across the entire field. The upper register bears the printed legends COMMONWEALTH OF THE PHILIPPINES / PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, a handwritten issuance date, and the denomination TWO PESOS in bold serif type below the charging clause PAY TO BEARER ON DEMAND THE SUM OF. The lower portion carries the charge text referencing the Provincial Treasurer of Negros Occidental and the Philippine National Bank, Bacolod Branch, with two countersignature lines for the Provincial Auditor and Provincial Treasurer, and a serial number printed at upper right and lower left. |
