| Obverse description | At center, the Seal of the President of the Philippines is depicted within a beaded circle, featuring the characteristic sunburst and stylized eye motif. The outer legend REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS arcs along the upper periphery, while the inscription SEAL OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES curves within the beaded border. The dates 1948-1953, denoting Quirino's presidential term, appear in the lower field flanking the denomination 2 PISO, with a star on each side. The design is rendered in low relief against a plain field, consistent with the decagonal flan. |
