| Obverse description | Central device displays the crowned arms of Castile and León, featuring the quartered shield with castles and lions in the customary arrangement of the Spanish Habsburg colonial coinage. The denomination numeral II appears to the upper left of the shield, while the assayer's initial and mint mark are visible in the field. Partial Latin legend surrounds the device, though much of it falls off the irregular flan as is characteristic of cob coinage. The strike, typical of macuquina manufacture, is uneven, with portions of the design weakly impressed. |

| Reverse description | Central bold cross potent with lions and castles alternating in the four quadrants formed by the cross, consistent with the standard reverse design of Spanish colonial cob coinage of the Habsburg period. The cross extends to the edges of the irregularly shaped flan, with partial segments of the surrounding Latin legend visible along the periphery. The castles and lions in the quadrants display the characteristic rough, hand-struck quality of macuquina coinage. The overall design adheres to the Potosí-Lima tradition of mid-seventeenth-century Spanish colonial silver. |
