| Reverse description | A bold cross of Jerusalem dominates the reverse, its four arms extending nearly to the beaded inner border and dividing the field into quadrants. The cross is rendered in the characteristic style of the Habsburg colonial cob coinage, with flared terminals on each arm. A partial Latin legend in Roman capitals encircles the design along the periphery, though typical of hammered cob coinage, the legend is partially visible due to the irregular shape of the planchet. The overall strike is typical of the Panama mint's brief coinage production during the reign of Philip II. |
