Obverse description Left-facing crowned effigy of King George V, depicted in military dress with decorations visible at the shoulder, engraved by Percy Metcalfe. The King wears an imperial state crown rendered in fine detail. The circumferential legend reads 'GEORGE V KING EMPEROR', divided on either side of the portrait, with a beaded border encircling the entire design.
