| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into three vertical vignette panels against a fine guilloche underprint bearing repeated '2' and 'DOS' microtext. The left panel carries a standing male figure with a shepherd's staff and livestock, the central panel presents a Peruvian woman in traditional dress with a basket, and the right panel shows cattle in a pastoral landscape. The denomination 'DOS SOLES' appears in bold letterpress at the lower centre, with the bank title 'EL BANCO NACIONAL DEL PERU' across the top, serial number and date verso in manuscript, and two manuscript signatures of the Gerente and Cajero at the foot. |
