| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of Samoa centrally positioned within a brushed field, depicting a quartered shield with a cross at chief, a coconut palm, and five stars representing the Southern Cross constellation, all ensigned by a cross and supported by two olive branches. The national motto 'FA'AVAE I LE ATUA SAMOA' appears on a ribbon beneath the shield.
