| Obverse description | Portrait of King Muhammad Zahir Shah at left, in military uniform, set against a guilloche underprint with the Afghan national arms vignette at centre. Denomination numeral '20' appears at lower right, with Dari and Pashto inscriptions across the middle and lower portion of the note. The ornate border consists of fine geometric latticework typical of Bradbury Wilkinson intaglio work, with three signature facsimiles along the lower margin. |
